Fly at Stonehill
Why not fly in for your visit? Our 450m long grass airstrip is suitable for light aircraft and microlights and is only 5 minutes walk from the cottage.
The airstrip altitude is 890 feet and is oriented east/west; Coordinates: 55deg 28.2 North 03 deg 50.5 West
Local flying in the Southern Uplands is spectacular and we are within easy reach of the Western Isles; for example, Bute is approximately 40 minutes flying time and Glen Forsa on Mull is only 1 hour and 50 minutes away.
We can arrange fuel, groceries and transport if required and landing fees and hangarage are all included when you stay in the cottage.
