New year and new calves in the shed, with several more expected over the next few weeks. The birds think it is Spring as it has been unseasonably mild but not sure the winter is over just yet!

Welcome to Stonehill
Our self catering holiday cottage lies in the Duneaton Valley on the edge of the Southern Uplands of Scotland. A traditional stone-built cottage, renovated to a high standard, with an enclosed garden and a south facing conservatory providing a panoramic view of the surrounding countryside.
The cottage offers a peaceful rural setting on our working farm, with easy access to major roads making it an ideal location for visiting central Scotland.
There’s plenty on offer locally. Visit the old market towns of Lanark and Biggar, explore Wanlockhead, Scotland’s highest village, or visit New Lanark, a world heritage site. If you want a more active holiday, there is superb local walking, fishing, bird watching, cycling and golfing.
So whether you are looking for a comfortable base to explore central Scotland, interested in the great outdoors or simply want a relaxing holiday with great views, Stonehill Cottage is for you.
